For the testing of gas turbine and diesel engine filters, these are often tested according to Aramco standard 32-SAMSS-008. The Aramco test dust specified in the above standard is used for this purpose. The specification specifies that the particle size distribution of sodium chloride in the test dust must be between 0-5 µm. The DMT GmbH & Co. KG produces DMT Aramco test dust using a special process so that the sodium chloride, which can become highly agglomerated at normal air humidity and thus clearly > 5 µm, meets the given specification.
The DMT ASHRAE test dust is described in the ANSI / ASHRAE standard. This is used, for example, for filter testing in accordance with EN 779.
Test dust for use in motor testing according to DIN EN 1834-1 and DIN EN 1834-2.
DMT beech wood dust is used to measure vacuum, cleaning interval and residual dust content according to DIN EN 16770. According to the specification, the median particle size is approx. 100 µm, whereby the d90 is between 20 - 300 µm. The wood moisture content is set between 6 - 10 %.
DMT Cellulose Dust is one of the three components of DMT Test Dust Type 8® and is specified in Chapter 7.2.2.6.
Test dust for use in filter and environmental tests. More information can be found in the Downloads section.
The DMT CN / ISO reference sand is specified in both ISO 679 and DIN EN 196.
The cotton specially cut by DMT is part of the simulated house dust DMT test dust type 8® and is specified in IEC 62885 / IEC 60312 / DIN EN 60312. This cut cotton is also used as a pure component for various filter technology tests. (For fiber length distribution see standard) Since cotton is a natural product, the fiber structure and composition are subject to certain natural variations. DMT GmbH & Co. KG is accompanied by strict quality monitoring, which begins with the supplier to achieve a high batch to batch comparability. Our specifications must be strictly observed during storage. Increased humidity can greatly accelerate the natural decomposition process.

The DMT Dolomit DRB 4/15 complies with the specification of DIN EN 149 and is used for the testing of paricle-filtering half masks / breathing masks.

DMT dust is the dry mixture according to 78/318/EEC used for the test liquid.
DMT Dolomit mineral dust, also known as hard floor dust or crevice dust, meets the specifications of the IEC 62885-2 / IEC 60312 / DIN EN 60312-1 Chap. 7.2.2.1. In addition to the fine fraction, DMT Dolomite mineral dust also contains coarse particles up to 2 mm in size. This composition is similar to the dust & sand found in reality on hard floors such as laminate, parquet or tiled floors. The corresponding standard test is described in Chapter 5, IEC 62885-2. This test dust is used to determine or evaluate the dust absorption of a vacuum cleaner on hard floors.
