DMT Dolomit mineral dust, also known as hard floor dust or crevice dust, meets the specifications of the IEC 62885-2 / IEC 60312 / DIN EN 60312-1 Chap. 7.2.2.1. In addition to the fine fraction, DMT Dolomite mineral dust also contains coarse particles up to 2 mm in size. This composition is similar to the dust & sand found in reality on hard floors such as laminate, parquet or tiled floors. The corresponding standard test is described in Chapter 5, IEC 62885-2. This test dust is used to determine or evaluate the dust absorption of a vacuum cleaner on hard floors.

DMT mineral dust type 2 is produced in accordance with the IEC 62885 (2016) / IEC 60312 (2010) / DIN EN 60312 (2014) Chapter 7.2.2.2. The particle size range is between 90 µm - 200 µm. This mineral dust is used for dust absorption testing on carpets as described in Chapter 5, IEC 62885-2. (Reference to ISO 679 / CEM 1 Description ) With a particle size range between 90 - 200 µm it is possible that partial demixing may occur during transport. It is therefore recommended to homogenize DMT Carpet Mineral Sand Type 2 before use, which can be achieved by mixing it with a laboratory tumble mixer.

DMT Type 3 mineral dust is used as a mineral component in DMT Type 8 test dust.

DMT mineral dust type 4 is used for testing according to chapter 5.11.

DMT moulding granules are polymer balls used to determine the maximum usable volume of a vacuum cleaner container in accordance with Chapter 5.7. First the mass for one liter of granules is determined and the volume of the vacuum cleaner container is determined with the granulate mass sucked into the vacuum cleaner container.

DMT quartz dust according to chapter 4.1.1.4 of the MIL-Standard-810G is used for the evaluation of various devices and components exposed to sands and dusty atmospheres.

With the help of DMT quartz dust according to chapter 3-19 5.2.5 and 3-25 5.2.(a) iii of the standard DEF-Stan 00-35 the erosion behavior and the formation of structural damage in flight by dust are simulated.

DMT quartz sand according to chapter 4.2.1.3 of the MIL-Standard-810G is used for the evaluation of various devices and components exposed to sands and dusty atmospheres.

In accordance with the American standard ASTM F 608, DMT test dirt A1.1 is used to evaluate the dust absorption of neck stop and industrial vacuum cleaners on carpets.
